Reaching Out and Looking Up – Artist: Chase “Tinman” Dahlberg

I want to provide the interactive experience of painting with ultraviolet lights on giant glow-in-the-dark panels. I have actually been envisioning giant glow-in-the-dark quartz crystals but to fit the theme of the even this year RADiculoCity I thought it punny to make a RADicuGlowCity. What I am picturing is three eight foot tall box-like structures made of glow-in-the dark panels with various ultraviolet flashlights available for festival participants to use as paint brushes on the glow-in-the-dark panels. I see the tops of the panels as having silhouettes to suggest different city skylines; one side could suggest a Default World city skyline with factories and skyscrapers and the other side would be a festival city skyline with geodesic domes balloons and sculptures
