Burners Without Borders DJ Booth and ReMixed Ink Live Screen Printing – Artist: ‘Rebel Dharma

The Burners Without Borders theme camp will be a collaboration with The Journey Crew that that will enable Saguaro Man participants to create and engage with interactive artwork as well as provide a space to engage and connect with members of the Burner community and Burners Without Borders members from chapters around the world. The camp will feature three main components.

The first is a portion of The Journey which is an interactive wood sculpture inspired by the double-helix and is reflective of our journey through life. Utilizing music lighting and responsive technology The Journey inspires to reflect and create experiences for self and community within its walkable structure and will debut in its full form at Burning Man 2017.

The second is ReMixed Ink a live interactive hands-on and engaging screen printing experience which will allow participants to conceptualize and create unique screen-printed items that they may keep or gift to other participants as they choose. The ReMixed Ink screen printing stations will be set up beneath a 10’x20’ shade structure with a themed appearance. Participants can bring garments textiles or other appropriate materials to the space and then select to print one of several intriguing and artistic designs created by well-known Burning Man artists and graphic designers.

The final component is a wooden art sculpture designed by Gregg Fleishman lead artist and designer of Octic Oasis (Burning Man) and the Temple of Whollyness (Burning Man 2013). The structure will serve as a DJ booth and speaker stage that will host a lineup of performing artists and speakers throughout the event.

The goal of Burners Without Borders and The Journey participation at Saguaro Man is to provide a gathering place for participants to relax and socialize and be inspired and intrigued by art and human connection. We are inspired and motivated to initiate implement and share the Ten Principles of Burning Man as well as our organizational goals of making the world around us a better more loving and beautiful place through civic engagement and radical participation. Our motto is “Do-Acracy” and we are architects of change. It is inspired by Burning Man’s Ten Principles and the Burners Without Borders mission goals to enable community leaders to take the Ten Principles from the playa to the world by gifting their time and talents to collaborate with others and better our world.
